Around 150 firefighters fought a fire in a museum barn in Uetersen in Schleswig-Holstein. It's not the first fire in the museum.
Uetersen – A thatched roof barn of the Langes Tannen Museum in Uetersen in Schleswig-Holstein caught fire on Sunday evening and triggered a large-scale operation.
Most of the works on display could have been saved, said a fire department spokesman. The cause of fire was unclear for the moment. According to initial findings, there were no injuries. More than 150 firefighters were initially deployed.
The name Langes Tannen is derived from the coniferous forest surrounding the museum. According to the operator, the affected barn already burned in 1990. According to this, up to five temporary exhibitions are shown in the building every year. dpa
