Los Angeles (AP) – 17 years after the end of the US cult series “Friends”, the series stars Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, David Schwimmer and Matthew Perry will meet again at the end of May.
HBO Max announced the Friends: The Reunion special for May 27th. The streaming service put a short video online in which the six actors, filmed from behind, walk through the Warner Bros. studio premises in Burbank, California.
In addition to the “Friends” stars, numerous celebrity guests will also appear, including Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga, Cindy Crawford, Tom Selleck, Reese Witherspoon and Nobel Peace Prize laureate Malala Yousafzai.
Fans of the cult series “Friends” had to wait longer than expected for the planned special broadcast due to the corona pandemic. It was originally planned for May 2020. According to an announcement by the production company WarnerMedia in February 2020, the actors will play without a fixed script.
The 90s hit “Friends” is about the life of a group of young friends in New York. The series about Rachel, Ross, Chandler, Monica, Joey and Phoebe started in the USA in 1994 and ran until 2004.
