Germany: “Lollipop test” for schoolchildren – this is how it works

School has started again in many federal states. In order to monitor the infection process, some municipalities rely on the "lollipop test".

Germany – It is already being used in numerous municipalities, others will start using it in the next few weeks – the "Lolli-Test". To do this, students suck on a so-called swab for at least 30 seconds – like a lollipop. Then the children's samples are collected in a container and this is sent to a laboratory. There the "pool" is examined for the coronavirus.
As HEIDELBERG24 * explains, the “lollipop test” can be used to find out whether a student has the coronavirus.

If the result is positive, all students must take a PCR test or go into quarantine. The “Lolli Tests” are also offered and financially supported in Baden-Württemberg. A model project in Freiburg went well. (jol) * HEIDELBERG24 is an offer from IPPEN.MEDIA.
