Hamburg's museums open again

The state museums and exhibition houses in the Hanseatic city are again allowed to receive visitors. However, strict requirements apply.

Hamburg – The incidence in Hamburg is falling and falling. Now the Hamburg Senate wants to take the first steps towards opening up public life. As one of the first measures, the state museums and exhibition houses should be allowed to reopen – but under strict conditions.

Visitors are only allowed in if they can either show a negative corona test at the entrance (the rule for PCR tests: not older than 48 hours, rapid tests not older than 12 hours) or have demonstrably been vaccinated. Children under the age of six are exempt.

The well-known distance and hygiene rules apply in the museum itself. A mask must be worn at all times. The number of visitors is also limited – depending on the size of the museum. Visitors book an appointment online in advance so that long queues can be avoided. Hamburg's Senator for Culture, Carsten Brosda, looks forward to the opening day *: “It's time for art and culture, and with them inspiration and irritation, to find their way back into our everyday lives.” * 24hamburg.de is an offer from IPPEN.MEDIA.
