How do holograms work?

Holograms are three-dimensional images obtained through the interference generated by a so-called reference light beam and the light reflected by the object to be holographed on a sensitive plate or emulsion. These light beams are mixed and directed towards the film, where the interference pattern produced by both is recorded. Once developed, the resulting capture is a three-dimensional image that varies in perspective depending on the viewer's point of view. To create two or more holograms of different objects on a single plate, the technique of multiple holograms, or double channel, is used, in which the image changes when observed from different points of view. This is achieved by varying the angle between the reference beam and the plate in successive exposures . In order for the images not to overlap, the difference in the angles of the reference beams must be large.
