RKI registered 5511 new corona infections

The seven-day incidence rose again slightly and is now 81.9. The RKI reports 5511 new corona infections within one day.

[Berlin -] According to the Robert Koch Institute (RKI), the seven-day incidence is currently 81.9. This emerges from the information provided by the institute on Monday morning.

The previous day the value was 80.2, a week ago it was 84.3. However, the RKI dashboard showed only one newly added case for Baden-Württemberg on Sunday. In the previous days it was well over 1000.

The health authorities in Germany reported 5511 new corona infections to the RKI within one day. A week ago the value was 4749 infections.

According to the new information, twelve deaths were recorded across Germany within 24 hours. A week ago there were eight deaths. The RKI has counted 4,083,151 detected infections with Sars-CoV-2 since the beginning of the pandemic. The actual total number is likely to be significantly higher, as many infections are not detected.

The number of corona patients admitted to clinics per 100,000 inhabitants within seven days was last given by the RKI on Friday at 1.95. A nationwide threshold value from when the situation can be viewed critically is not provided for the incidence of hospitalization, among other things because of large regional differences. The previous high was around 15.5 around Christmas time.

The RKI stated the number of those who had recovered at 3,831,800. The number of people who died with or with a proven infection with Sars-CoV-2 rose to 92,618. [dpa]
