Gumming a dog's ears is a technique consisting in covering the dog's ears with thin rubber bands . It is usually done in poodles and what is sought with this is that the hair of this part of the dog's anatomy is stretched and thus it seems that its ears are longer. Then, the gummies are removed by cutting them with scissors and without pulling them, so as not to harm the hairy one, and combing and detangling the hair with a comb with fine bristles and together.
Do not miss the video of the canine stylist Mª Ángeles Gutiérrez to learn a little more about this technique and even dare to do it to your poodle (if it is allowed, of course).
