There are numerous things to do and events that happen in Toronto during Father’s Day weekend, some related to the celebration of Dad and some not, but no matter how you want to spend the day, there is something that will happen that will be a fun way. to say thank you. Here are 10 ways to celebrate Father’s Day in Toronto.

1. Visit the barbecue and beer festival on the beach

If your dad is the beer and barbecue type of dad, he’d probably appreciate an afternoon at the Beach BBQ & Brews Festival in Woodbine Park. The festival conveniently takes place on Father’s Day weekend, making it an easy way to celebrate with Dad. In addition to the beer, there will be grill demonstrations if you and your dad are looking for tips, BBQ contests to watch, craft vendors, live music, and even halfway through with kiddie rides. The festival is held on Fridays from 3 to 11 pm, on Saturdays from noon to 11 pm and on Sundays from noon to 8 pm

2. Enjoy a barbecue and a craft beer

Another way to enjoy good food and beer on Father’s Day is courtesy of Henderson Brewery, one of Toronto’s newest. They also celebrate Father’s Day with craft beer and barbecue, always a great combination. In this case, you can head to the West End Brewery room with Dad for a craft beer and a handmade sausage, courtesy of Crown & Anchor.

3. Take Dad on a brunch cruise

What’s better than going out for lunch? When that lunch is aboard a boat. Celebrate Father’s Day on the water this year with a brunch cruise. Cruise Toronto operates a Father’s Day brunch cruise on Sunday the 19th from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., which includes the two-hour cruise, a brunch buffet, a mimosa on board and a magician, which is perfect if you ‘I’ll have kids for the ride. Mariposa Cruises offers a Father’s Day brunch cruise from noon to 2 pm, as well as a dinner cruise to celebrate dad from 5:30 to 8 pm

If brunch on a boat isn’t an ideal option, how about combining a Father’s Day celebration party with a tour of the brewery? Mill Street Brewery is hosting a Father’s Day brunch and brewery tour on Sunday from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Not only will Dad be offered a hearty meal, but he will also be able to sample a special keg available for the occasion and the the brewery will be open from noon to 5 pm for an open house.

6. Book Dad for a grooming or spa appointment

This Father’s Day invite the dad in your life for a grooming or spa appointment to really make him feel special. In particular, Garrison’s and Mankind Grooming are great options. Mankind has three locations in Toronto and offers everything from custom manicures and facials to haircuts and shaves. Garrison’s is more focused on hair with cuts, beard trims, and shaves.

7. Plan a day in Canada’s Wonderland

There’s a lot going on in Canada’s Wonderland this Father’s Day, making it a fun family option to celebrate Dad. First, there’s a Father’s Day BBQ for just $ 10 from 1-6pm on the Backlot Cafe’s outdoor patio. The menu includes Ontario Craft Beer BBQ Ribs, Ontario BBQ Chicken, Corn on the Cob, Potato Salad and Red Cabbage Salad. Dads also get half the buy-in on Sunday and not only that, there’s a two-for-one mini putt on Father’s Day, as well as 25% off all merchandise in case you feel like doing some shopping.

8. Take a look at the Barrio Luminato Food Festival

Head to Union Station on Father’s Day for the second day of the Barrio Luminato Food Festival. 9. Head to the CHIN International Picnic

Another event happening the weekend of Father’s Day I would do or a fun way to celebrate is the CHIN International Picnic, which is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year. The annual event, which has taken place since 1966, celebrates Toronto’s diverse cultures and is the world’s largest free multicultural picnic. Expect dance performances, live music, craft vendors, food vendors, and more. The main stage is located on College St. and Markham St. in Little Italy.

10. Take Dad to the Taco Fest

Spend a few hours enjoying some of Toronto’s best tacos on Father’s Day at the Taco Fest taking place at 99 Sudbury in three separate time slots. Delicious Mexican dishes will come courtesy of El Trompo, Fidel Gastros, El Caballito, Frida Restaurant, Cardinal Rule, Playa Cabana and Rancho Relaxo to name a new one. In addition to tacos, the festival will feature a margarita and sangria bar, nachos and salsa samples, hot sauce bar and tastings, Mexican corn and churros, and live music.
