Birth photographers are becoming more frequent, perhaps because families are realizing “how valuable it is to preserve memories of the best days of your life.”
This is what Birth Becomes Her says, an international community of birth photographers, who hold an international contest to choose the best images of the year of pregnancy, childbirth and postpartum.
Among the 1,200 photographs received from around the world, these are the 18 awarded for best reflecting the beauty of birth in 2019 Impressive!
An international competition
The images that participated in the ‘Birth Becomes Her Image Contest 2019’ were taken in 2018 in more than a dozen countries.
The chosen judges, pioneers in both the birth and photography communities, were in charge of selecting the best photography as well as the winners in the five existing categories: hospital, out-of-hospital, color, black and white and postpartum.
Among his selection criteria: technical ability, creativity, emotional impact and editing.
