"The operating people are free to only receive vaccinated and convalescents in their shops and then to waive the obligation to keep their distance and mask," says the Hessian state government. However, it is very unlikely that supermarkets will actually use it. "We are assuming that this option will only be used on a daily basis and that everyday businesses will not make use of it," said Hesse's Prime Minister Volker Bouffier.
