Let’s take a look at my top five picks for parks, grounds, and RV sites in the Peach State so you can find the perfect place to come back, relax, and enjoy the fun of the Deep South.
Sugar Mill Creek: Clarkesville
Enjoy the foothills of the Appalachians and the tranquil landscape of Clarkesville at Sugar Mill Creek.
There are two streams that put you to sleep on Sugar Mill Creek’s 48 fully paved and padded sites. The sites come with full utility connections. The grounds offer showers, laundry facilities, fire rings at each site, a playground, and a three-level outdoor terrace for visitors to host gatherings. Sugar Mill Creek offers live entertainment on Friday and Saturday nights.
Sugar Mill Creek is surrounded by miles of hiking and biking trails in National Parks and Forests, as well as rafting and kayaking. Visit Lake Burton for water sports or freshwater fishing. I recommend getting to some of the local falls, Minnehaha is one of the best.

There is a lot to see near A Big Wheel. Explore the flora and fauna of the Okefenokee National Wildlife Refuge or guarantee yourself excellent wildlife viewing at the Jacksonville Zoo.
