A baby saves the world again – "Boss Baby 2"

Do we really need animated babies to save the world? The audience say: yes, absolutely. And that’s why the bossy baby can now save the world again in the cinema after 2017.

Hamburg – A cheeky baby that makes the announcements – with this idea, “Boss Baby” became a hit movie in 2017. Now the sequel follows: In “Boss Baby – No More Kindergarten”, the smart, suit-wearing toddler has become a successful businessman.

Grown Ted has more than enough money, but hardly any time for his brother Tim and his daughters Tabitha and Tina.

So part two continues the crazy-fantastic story in the next generation. There are many funny to silly scenes for children, but adults also take something with them. For example, the statements in the film: childhood is important, loving parents are more important than a perfect education and it is never too late for reconciliation.

But about the plot: Tim thinks his older daughter Tabitha is growing up too quickly. In fact, she is in the school of a mean headmaster who is really a bad baby in disguise who wants to rule the world and free it from parents. It lets other babies program an app that is supposed to turn parents into mindless zombies. That must be prevented! The brothers Ted and Tim can only do this if they overcome their rivalries and disputes and the whole family works together.

It goes without saying that there is a lot of chaos when the troop is between dumb crawling children who play with glue, extreme nerds who seem to know everything, and baby ninjas with throwing stars. And at the end there is Tabitha’s big appearance at the school performance, before which she is jittery. There she is supposed to sing a song – one that is so catchy that it will stay in the audience’s ears for a long time.

Like its predecessor, which grossed more than 305 million US dollars (258 million euros) worldwide, “Boss Baby – No More Kindergarten” is cute and animated. Especially the big, expressive googly eyes of the figures as well as many loving and funny details make the charm. However, even for a children’s film, the plot is very stringent and predictable. Nevertheless, the film should be a lot of fun, especially for young cinema-goers.
