Aaron Taylor-Johnson to play Kraven the Hunter, a Spider-man villain

Creating movies about solo villains has been a vein and trend for a few years in the Hollywood industry. Maleficent was one of the first, Venom in 2018 and Cruella was the most recent addition. With the rights to film exploitation of various characters in hand, Sony continues to create stories from the characters of the world of Spider-man willing that not only is Disney the one that takes a piece of the cake that Marvel fans produce in Box Office. The production company that is now enlisting in the promotion of the second part of Venom, will have Aaron Taylor-Johnson as Kraven, another villain of the neighbor and friend from New York. According to the medium The Wrap, the actor who rose to fame thanks to Kick-ass will have a solo movie playing Marvel’s evil hunter. The project will be directed by JC Chandor, an Oscar nominee for Best Original Screenplay for Margin Call in 2012 and will be written by Iron Man 1 screenwriters Matt Holloway and Art Marcum and The Equalizer screenwriter Richard Wenk. In principle and according to the media, Aaron Taylor-Johnson would have signed to play the role of Kraven the Hunter in several films. The villain is a natural enemy of Spider-man, who wants to hunt solely for sport, thus proving to be the best hunter in the world. His real name is Sergei Kravinoff, a hunter of large animal prey who likes to stain his own hands with his victims. After meeting a warlock who gives him a potion, Kraven potentially enhances his senses by granting him powers and delaying his aging.Although he has signed more than one participation, it is hard to believe that having negotiated both Sony and Marvel about the character of Spider-man we are going to see him trying to hunt the spider, however who knows what these two companies are up to with the rumors of Appearance of Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire in the spider hero’s next adventure. Another way could be to face Kraven against other larger prey, as is the case with Venom. Either way, Sony wants to bet on all those dark Marvel villains that the House of Ideas franchise has a hard time adapting (both for content and exploitation rights).
