Among other things, a 28-year-old who is accused of serious sexual abuse must present himself at the Münster Regional Court. The public prosecutor’s office demands a very long prison sentence.
Münster (dpa) – In the abuse complex Münster, the public prosecutor’s office is demanding 14 years in prison and subsequent preventive detention for the main defendant.
The prosecution accuses the 28-year-old IT technician of 32 acts of serious sexual abuse. He is said to have raped the son of his partner himself and repeatedly brought him to other men for similar acts.
On the 48th day of the trial, the public prosecutor’s office spoke out in favor of further prison sentences, as a spokesman for the Münster regional court announced on Tuesday afternoon. According to the will of the prosecution, a man from Hanover (36) is to be jailed for ten years, a 43-year-old from Schorfheide in Brandenburg for eleven years and six months, and a man (31) from Staufenberg in Hesse for twelve years.
As with the main culprit, the public prosecutor’s office calls for the men to be held in preventive detention. The plea was made in camera to protect the victims.
The amount of the required prison sentence is derived from the different number of alleged offenses. In the case of the mother of the IT technician, the prosecution assumes that she knew about a joint abuse of the now eleven-year-old boy by the men on a weekend last year. She is to be convicted of aiding and abetting.
The trial will continue on Thursday with the sub-plaintiffs pleading. The regional court in Münster intends to announce a judgment at the end of June or beginning of July.
Five men have already been sentenced to prison terms in the complex. In total, the investigators identified more than 50 suspects, around 30 of whom are currently in custody.
