Berlin – The singer Adel Tawil (42, “Lieder”) has realized over the past year how much he depends on live concerts.
“I actually thought that I was a balanced person and that I could concentrate on other things. But I suddenly realized how much I miss the stage. I had a hard time struggling with that, ”Tawil told the German press agency.
During this time he did other things, such as brushing up his French, doing sports and playing a lot of guitar. Last year, the musician spent several months in Egypt, where parts of his family live.
The world is on pause
The new single “Die Welt ist auf Pause”, which will be released on Friday, is about people in love who can hug each other again after a long time. On his upcoming album, he will probably also deal with the behavior of society in the pandemic.
“We really need to learn to treat each other better. Because you’ve already seen one or the other terrifying scene in the supermarket or on the street. I hope we all learn our lessons from it, ”Tawil continued. dpa
