Kandahar – There was an explosion in a well-known mosque in Afghanistan on Friday morning (October 15, 2021). The BBC reports with reference to local media. Accordingly, seven people were killed by the explosion in the Imam Bargah mosque.
Dozens more are said to have been injured. That’s what a doctor from a local hospital said.

The cause of this is still unclear. Afghan media speculate about a suicide bombing, but this was not commented on by any official site. Secunder Kermani, the BBC’s Afghanistan correspondent, announced on Twitter that the IS-K group will soon be committed to the attack. It is a local offshoot of the Islamic State terrorist group.
Only a week ago there was an attack on a mosque in the Kunduz region in northern Afghanistan. 46 people died. The IS subsequently claimed the explosion for itself. (do)
