Technically called Ioannis Kapodistrias International Airport (or Capodistrias), the facility is generally referred to as Kerkyra or Corfu Airport.

As it serves international flights directly, there is a full customs inspection service in place, so this can work as a true alternative to flying through Athens.

Best times to travel to Corfu

Corfu is especially popular with British visitors, and many British-based airlines offer regular service to Corfu via Corfu Airport. There are also many charter flights to Corfu. Remember, Corfu can be spelled Korfu or it can be called by its other name, Kerkyra, which can also be seen as Cercyra, although that is less prevalent these days.
