Many people used the Corona period for new hobbies. So does the cabaret artist Emmanuel Peterfalvi, who appears as TV reporter Alfons with a puffy microphone and an orange training jacket.

Hamburg – The Franco-German cabaret artist Emmanuel Peterfalvi (54, “Alfons”) has used the quieter time since the outbreak of the corona pandemic to learn a new musical instrument.

Immediately on the lockdown day in March 2020, he bought a drum kit, Peterfalvi told the German Press Agency in Hamburg. “I had been negotiating with my wife for a long time whether I should buy a drum kit or not. The negotiation was still going on, but I ordered it anyway. ”His wife was also a little surprised, he admits with a laugh.

“I’ve been practicing drums like a crazy man ever since. I’m not good. I am a beginner. But that’s a lot of fun. And of course, I had a lot of time in lockdown. ”He is trained by an online teacher. A few months before the lockdown, he had also started clarinet lessons.

The Hamburger by choice became known as the TV reporter Alfons with an orange training jacket, fluffy microphone and a French accent. During his appearances on stage and in front of the camera, Peterfalvi confronts people with their own prejudices and views with cheeky street interviews and seemingly naive questions. dpa
