2021 is Marc Márquez ‘s ninth season in MotoGP, his 14th in the motorcycle world championship counting the ones he contested in 125cc and Moto2.

Marc Márquez arrived at the 125cc world championship when he was just 15 years old, and his first bike was a Repsol team KTM with his eternal 93 number. He achieved his first podium and was 13th in the championship, with 63 points.

His most orange motorcycle, the KTM of Red Bull KTM Motosport. With it he achieved his first pole positions in 125cc and finished 8th in the world championship.

Third time, the charm. At the age of 17, he became the 125cc world champion at the controls of the Red Bull Ajo Motorsport Derby.

2011 was the season of his transition to Moto2, and he was on the verge of the title, being runner-up in the world with the Suter Honda of the Catalunya Caixa Repsol Team. He added seven wins in 15 races.

Wearing number 93 on the RC212V, Márquez made his MotoGP debut in 2013 after being champion in Moto2 the previous year. The debut could not have been better, as he won a historic title in his first year in the top flight.

Márquez decided to keep the 93 on his bike despite being champion, and made history again, repeating the title with full authority. He had 10 wins in the first 10 races, ending the year with 13 wins.

The RC212V was unable to cope with the Yamaha, and Márquez, although he had an almost leading role in the last part of the championship, could only finish 3rd.

In a season with a multitude of different winners and multiple crashes, Márquez made regularity his flag and, barely touching the ground, was champion with three races ahead.

In his fifth season in MotoGP, Márquez would achieve his fourth title in the highest category. He had an important rival in Andrea Dovizioso and his Ducati until the last moment, but he managed to be crowned thanks to his six victories and a great rivalry.

He had no rival in 2018 to win his fifth MotoGP world championship in six seasons. With nine wins, he had more than enough races to be crowned. In December he joked about changing 93 to 1 but, as suspected, it was an innocence and in 2019 he repeats the number.
