With its release in December four months ago, Cyberpunk 2077 is still very much present in the community. The work of CD Projekt RED has several pending updates and one of them has already been detailed.
However, there is a member of your team that will no longer be part of the project in the future. Andrzej Zawadzki , chief gameplay designer for the title, has announced via Twitter that he is leaving the company after belonging to it for the last eight years:
After almost 8 years, my time at CDPR has come to an end. It’s time for the new adventure.

Zawadzki’s track record in the studio is quite prolific. He started out as a tester, going on to work on The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and its two expansions, Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine. Subsequently, in 2016 he became a junior gameplay designer for Cyberpunk 2077 and was promoted to the position of chief in this regard in March 2020.
Regarding the “new adventure” that the developer talks about, more details are unknown . Another industry veteran who left his post to rejoin his old company has been Drew Murray with The Initiative and Insomniac Games.
The futuristic game has not had a simple life. It has suffered the disclosure of its source code due to hackers, although CD Projekt has detailed the roadmap of the title for this 2021.
