Yesterday, subscribers to the YouTube Premium family plan received an email mentioning that their account would suffer a price increase of five dollars per month, since it will now cost $22.99 per month instead of 17.99, which represents an increase of 25%.
For now, this price will be adjusted in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Japan, Indonesia, Brazil, Turkey, and Argentina. Mexico was not mentioned in the list, however, it had already undergone an adjustment in March 2022, with an increase of 60 pesos.
For new users, this rate is already implemented and they will no longer be able to subscribe for the old rate. For current users, the changes will be reflected in your account starting on November 21 of this year.
This was the only plan that underwent a change, as the cost of the individual plan will remain at $11.99 per month and the student plan at $6.99 per month.
What does the YouTube Premium family plan include?
With this plan you can add up to five members, ages 13 and older, to the subscription.
