The ‘Arc the Lad’ trilogy was unknown to the general European public for many years. Thanks to the magazines of the time and the emulators (or the import, of course), some of us were able to taste those SRPGs as a counterpart to SEGA’s ‘Shining Force’. Until ‘Arc: Twilight of Souls’ , already on PS2, broke that bad streak and it was distributed in Spain .
With PS3, many years later, we saw the original PSone trilogy make its way to the PlayStation classics and with its NTSC-USA versions intact. And this week, at least in the United States, where it has specified its date, we will see the classic PS2 emulated on PS4 and with Trophies .
Sony has recently confirmed it from its official blog on the other side of the pond, setting its debut for tomorrow, January 12 and at a price yet to be revealed (we imagine that 14.99 euros, like ‘Dark Cloud’ and ‘Rogue Galaxy ‘). Presumably, it will arrive here the same day, but confirmation from PlayStation Spain is missing. It will be a matter of waiting a few more hours.
As for the game itself, it kept the essence of SRPG, but no longer by squares , by offering us more freedom of movement through a circular radius. In turn, we had two heroes with very different looks and destinies: Kharg was a Human prince while Darc was a despicable and tormented Deimos slave. In addition, each had their own allies.
