Anyone who receives housing benefit will also receive a heating cost subsidy in Baden-Württemberg from September. Read here who gets how much:

Consumers in particular, who already earn little anyway, are currently being hit particularly hard by the expensive prices for food, fuel, energy and the like. In addition, the measures contained in the traffic light coalition’s last relief package expire at the end of August. It can therefore be assumed that refueling – but also trips in public transport – will become more expensive again. In order to relieve the burden on low earners in particular, a heating cost subsidy was decided.

In Baden-Württemberg, this subsidy is to be paid out in addition to the housing benefit from September 1st. If you are not entitled to housing benefit, you will get nothing. The relief is therefore sharply criticized in the Facebook community. Critical voices are also being heard from the opposition in the state parliament of Baden-Württemberg. The heating subsidy is staggered, the amount depends on the number of household members. (jsn)
