Bisexual men and gays are allowed to donate blood in the UK

0

In many countries gays and bisexual men are not allowed to donate blood or be prepared for strict requirements. Great Britain is now easing the requirements.

London, England – Non-straight men are only allowed to donate blood in Germany if they have been celibate for a year before, even if they are in a steady relationship. The guideline has been in force since 2017, before gay and bi men were not allowed to donate blood at all.

In Great Britain, the discriminatory requirements are now to be relaxed to coincide with World Blood Donation Day on June 14th, knows Kreiszeitung.de *. Non-heterosexual men are therefore allowed to donate their blood immediately even if they have had an active love life in the past three months – provided that they only had one partner. * Kreiszeitung.de is an offer from IPPEN.MEDIA.
