Visit TKTS Official Website and More Ways to Get Discount Broadway Tickets!

Want to see a Broadway show, but can’t afford $ 100 or more for tickets? New York City now has three TKTS booths where you can pay as little as half the price of Broadway tickets for the same day (some even a day in advance). In addition to the opportunity to purchase Broadway show tickets for 20-50% less than full price tickets, you are supporting the Theater Development Fund with your ticket purchase, so you can feel good about getting your Broadway tickets at the TKTS Cabin!

One of the most popular ways to get discounted tickets to see Broadway and Off-Broadway productions is through the TKTS booths. The downside is that you have to wait in line, sometimes for an hour or more, to get the tickets, but it can be fun for people to look online or you can read a bit.

Pro-tip: If you want to see a play, there is a separate “Play Express” line at the TKTS booth in Times Square!

Tickets are available for same-day performances (except matinees, which are sold one day in advance at the South Street Seaport and Brooklyn TKTS locations), generally 20-50% off the total ticket price. There is also a service charge of $ 4.50 per ticket that goes to TDF, the non-profit organization that operates the TKTS booths. Available shows are posted in tents outside the box office. The Broadway shows available at the TKTS booths change not just from day to day but from hour to hour. Often times, TKTS tickets are issued immediately before the shows open at 8 p.m. M. You can check availability in the TKTS Mobile app, which is available for Apple, Android, and Windows phones.

Quick Pass: Do you want to see various shows during your visit? Bring your TKTS ticket to the Times Square booth within 7 days and you can go straight to window # 1, avoiding some of the long lines.

Insider Info: The TKTS booth in Times Square might be the best known, but there are also TKTS booths in South Street Seaport and in Brooklyn. The Brooklyn and South Street Seaport TKTS booths offer some advantages over the Times Square location:

  1. You can get morning tickets the day before the show.
  2. Lines tend to be shorter because you are further from Broadway and these locations are less well known
  3. The Brooklyn TKTS location also has tickets to Brooklyn performing arts events
