Caffeine and glucose increase attention and memory

cafe-azucar The combined intake of caffeine and glucose can benefit the prolongation of attention, learning and verbal memory . It is the conclusion of a study carried out by the University of Barcelona in which 72 subjects between 18 and 25 years old participated. The researchers analyzed the effects of ingesting, first thing in the morning and on an empty stomach, different beverages: water (150 milliliters), water with 75 milligrams of caffeine, water with 75 grams of glucose and water with 75 milligrams of caffeine and 75 grams of glucose.

The results showed that the joint administration of these two substances, caffeine and glucose, has beneficial effects on people's attention and learning, as well as on memory, something that students should take into account. Likewise, they also showed that when these substances were supplied individually, the beneficial effects obtained were much lower.
