Camelbeach water park

In winter, people flock to Camelback Mountain to ski, snowboard and snow tube in the cold of winter. In summer, people come to relax at the resort’s huge outdoor water park, Camelbeach.

Located at the base of the mountain, which is part of the Poconos, the sprawling Camelbeach water park features a host of attractions. Among its thrill rides are the Triple Venom speed slides, the twin bowl water park games, Vortex and Spin Cycle, and the racing slide, Checkered Flag Challenge. The park also offers FlowRider, a wave-making attraction for both boogie boarding and stand-up surfing.

For those who prefer tamer thrills, the park offers the Blue Nile Adventure River, a 100-foot-long lazy river, and the Kahuna Lagoon wave pool. And for the kids, there’s Camel Cove and Pharaoh’s Phortress, two interactive play areas with waterfalls, kiddie slides, kid-activated sprinklers, and tipping buckets. “Dry” activities include a rock climbing wall, a giant air pocket free-fall ride, and bungee jumping.

Other things to do in Camelback

  • Other outdoor activities include zip lines, a roller coaster (you control the speed of cars racing down a track built into the mountain), and mountain Segways.
