On Monday there was a violent accident at a service area on the A45. An explosion reportedly killed two people.
A fire broke out on Monday at the Langen-Bergheim service area on the A45 motorway near Hammersbach (Main-Kinzig district). As the picture reports, a vehicle rammed a gas pump and another car. Both cars caught fire and exploded.
One occupant of the accident car died. A second body was found near the wreck. So far it is unclear whether it was also in the accident car.
According to Hit Radio FFH , the fire spread to the sales room of the gas station and the restaurant of the service area. Firefighters have since brought the flames under control. “The cause of the accident is still completely unclear. There is still no certainty about the identity of the dead," said a police spokesman for Bild . The criminal police are on site and have started the investigation.
