Arizona Center is a business, shopping, dining and entertainment center in downtown Phoenix. It is within walking distance of the Phoenix Convention Center, Herberger Theater, Symphony Hall, Talking Stick Resort Arena, and Chase Field. Many people stop at The Arizona Center for dinner before the game or before the theater, and there are shops geared towards the tourist needs of the Convention Center. AMC has a 24-theater complex at the Arizona Center.

Directions to Central Arizona

The Arizona Center is located on the northeast corner of Van Buren and Third Street in downtown Phoenix, Arizona. The entrance to the parking lot is on 5th street, north of Van Buren.

From East Phoenix – Take the Red Mountain Freeway (Loop 202) west, which will merge with Interstate 10 West. Take I-10 West to the 7th Street exit. Turn left (south) on 7th Street toward Van Buren. Turn right (west) on Van Buren onto 3rd Street. (Parking is on 5th street).

From West / Southwest Phoenix – Take I-10 East to the 7th Avenue exit. Turn right (south) on 7th Avenue toward Van Buren. Turn left (east) on Van Buren onto 3rd Street.

From Northwest Phoenix / Glendale – Take I-17 South toward Van Buren. Turn left (east) on Van Buren onto 3rd Street.

From East Valley / Tempe: Take I-10 West to Washington / Jefferson Street. Turn left (west) on Washington Street to 3rd Street. Turn right (north) on 3rd Street toward Arizona Center.

Restaurants in Arizona Center

At any one time, there are generally about ten places to eat or eat at the Arizona Center. Hooters is a mainstay of Central Arizona. You will also find sushi, Mexican and Italian food here. This area of shops and restaurants is very popular on game, theater and symphony nights.

What sets Arizona Center apart

This is a small open-air shopping center, surrounded by office buildings. There are landscaped areas and places for people, many of them office workers, to sit and eat something or enjoy the weather. The shops here cater to the Phoenix Convention Center crowd and are generally for tourists. There are 24 AMC movie theaters. Often times, there are kiosks set up with more souvenir products.

Tips for shopping at Arizona Center

Parking is not free, but some stores and restaurants will validate your parking ticket, so take it with you.
