Ex-President Peter Griesemann is said to have flown the crashed Cessna. The Cologne carnival mourns the former head of the Blue Sparks.

Cologne – The Cologne carnival mourns: Ex-Blaue Funken boss Peter Griesemann is said to have been the pilot of the Cessna that crashed in the Baltic Sea. The carnivalist wanted to fly from Spain to Cologne with his wife Juliane, daughter Lisa and her friend in a private plane. But the small plane never arrived at Cologne-Bonn Airport. Instead, the Cessna crashed into the Baltic Sea off the Latvian coast.
24RHEIN reports on the latest developments on Peter Griesemann’s plane that crashed.

“The Cologne Carnival mourns the loss of Peter Griesemann, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Cologne Carnival Festival Committee and Honorary President of the Blue Sparks,” writes the Cologne Carnival Festival Committee. “As an entrepreneur and carnivalist, he made a significant contribution to shaping this Cologne tradition for decades.” (jw)
