Vienna – Austria's Federal Chancellor Sebastian Kurz is looking forward to his first child. The 34-year-old politician announced the pregnancy of his partner Susanne Thier.
"We are overjoyed and grateful that there will be three of us soon," wrote the head of the conservative ÖVP on social media. "A wonderful joint task awaits us, which we look forward to with great anticipation."
Baby is due to arrive at the end of November
The baby should be born in late November or early December, the Chancellery told the German Press Agency. In his postings, Kurz asked for understanding that he wanted to keep his private life private.
Kurz and Thier have been a couple since they went to school together. Thier works in the Ministry of Finance. dpa
