Checking your mobile a lot gets on your nerves

0

You go on the subway. You take your phone out of your pocket and update Twitter. Instantly, you open the Facebook app to check for news on your wall. You jump to Instagram. And in the mail? You check your inbox. But what has happened in all this time on Twitter? You update again …

If this dynamic is familiar to you, it is very likely that you live insane. According to a recent study by the American Psychological Association, nonstop checking social media and email on your mobile phone multiplies stress. And the serious thing is that 45% of workers are constantly online on weekdays, and 34%, also on weekends. Furthermore, most of those who live attached to their smartphone complain that it interferes with their family and personal life.

Spaniards hooked

In our country we have all the numbers for the mobile to drive us crazy, judging by the data. According to the We Are Social study, our average daily mobile browsing time per user is 1.9 hours. 90% of the Spanish population has some type of smartphone and 42% of mobile users regularly access social networks.

Research indicates that millennials – those born between 1981 and 1995 – are the most stressed and worried about the effects of social media on their own mental and physical health. What to do then? 65% are in favor of detoxifying and spending time away from the mobile. Now, only 28% have ever tried it.
