Berlin – Director Chris Kraus has started filming the sequel to his cinema success “Four Minutes” (2007) in Brandenburg. “15 Years” continues the story of the piano prodigy Jenny von Loeben (Hannah Herzsprung).

Jenny is released from prison after 15 years. “But it’s not just her, her inner demons are suddenly free,” Friday’s announcement said. It is a love drama about the struggle with yourself and the world. “Four Minutes”, in which Monica Bleibtreu (1944-2009) played the piano teacher, won numerous trophies, including the German Film Prize.

The sequel is to be shot in Zossen, Berlin, Vienna, Nuremberg and Luxembourg by the end of April. Other leading roles have Albrecht Schuch, Hassan Akkouch, Christian Friedel and Adele Neuhauser. Kraus also wrote the screenplay for the film, which is slated for completion in spring 2023. dpa
