Cocaine instead of fruit: drug investigators have found what they are looking for in a container in the port of Rotterdam. The drug worth millions was destroyed.
Rotterdam – Investigators discovered 600 kilos of cocaine worth 45 million euros in a container full of mangoes in the port of Rotterdam. The find was made on Friday in a shipment from Brazil, the prosecutor said.
The fruits were destined for a company in the Netherlands, which, however, had nothing to do with smuggling, the investigators emphasized. To combat drug smuggling in the port, the shipping police, customs, financial investigations and the public prosecutor have set up a special investigation team. The drug was destroyed. dpa
