The A45 near Lüdenscheid is completely closed due to damage to the Rahmede bridge. The diversions lead via A1, A3, A4 and A44 as well as A7.

Cologne – After a control for new building planning, the A45 near Lüdenscheid was immediately blocked. The reason: damage to the Rahmede viaduct. Now the A45 between Lüdenscheid-Nord and Lüdenscheid will most likely remain closed for longer than initially thought. The problem: Every day around 60,000 road users are now using the detours A1, A3, A4, A44 and A7. Traffic chaos could threaten the Rhineland around Cologne * and Leverkusen * due to the already busy motorways.
24RHEIN * shows which motorways are threatened with bottlenecks due to the full closure of the A45.

Various investigations are currently being carried out on the A45 near Lüdenscheid. During the structural inspection at the Rahmede viaduct on the A45, deformations on the steel superstructure were found at the beginning of December. The immediate full closure at Lüdenscheid was decided on site. In the coming days, Autobahn GmbH expects to be able to make an initial forecast for the further closure.
