For several years now, Constantine II has been troubling his health again and again. The popular Greek figure was already sitting in a wheelchair during his last public appearances, but he was always cheerful and apparently held up well even as he got older. It was only last October that he and his large family celebrated the church wedding of his son Philippos (35) with the Swiss Nina Flohr (34). A few weeks ago, however, reports made the rounds that the 81-year-old had suffered a stroke. A little later, however, it was said that Konstantin “only” had pneumonia, for which he was treated in a clinic in mid-December.
