Following the course of the European round, the riders of the premier class set course for one of the most challenging circuits on the 2022 calendar. This weekend, the Autodromo Internazionale del Mugello in Italy will host the eighth round of the MotoGP calendar, an appointment that will mark a before and after in the qualifying sheet of the Motorcycle World Championship.

Taking into account the parameters of France, Spain, Portugal, Austin, Argentina, Indonesia and Qatar, these are some of the possible protagonists for the Italian Grand Prix this weekend at Mugello.

The first name that heads the list of candidates is undoubtedly Fabio Quartararo. The Frenchman arrives in Tuscany as a solid leader, four points behind his closest rival: Aleix Espargaró. Both pilots star in the bets for the weekend, after a surprising comeback in their locker.

El Diablo already has a victory on the Italian circuit, where he was crowned Sunday champion in 2021. Fabio Quartararo’s first position is accompanied by a lap record and a best pole position in the same year.

The next applicant, also from France, is Johann Zarco. The Pramac driver has a good record in terms of speed and performance on the Italian racetrack, so his name could sound in the bets on Sunday.

Also, the local rider Enea Bastianini, followed by his compatriot in the Italian factory, Pecco Bagnaia, could be the spearhead of Borgo Panigale this weekend at Mugello, a layout characterized by its long straights, favorable to the Desmosedici.

However, we will have to wait until Sunday to know the name of the definitive protagonist. For now, the action on the Italian track will start on Friday with the 8th MotoGP free practice of the year.
