Corona rules in the workplace: What needs to be observed again now

With the abolition of the home office obligation, many employees are being drawn back to the office. Strict corona rules apply here to avoid infections.

Berlin – The corona pandemic has been keeping Germany busy since March 2020. The constantly changing course of infection requires the adoption of new rules, the adjustment of existing restrictions or even the omission of certain corona protection measures. This is usually not possible in the workplace, where many people come together again. Because on paper, the home office requirement has not existed since March 20, 2022.

You can find out here which corona rules must be observed in detail at the workplace and which obligations the employer has.*

In the meantime, politicians have passed a new infection protection law. Due to the expiry of the old law, however, the home office obligation is no longer valid in purely formal terms*. This requires a rethinking of many employees, who can no longer sit comfortably at their desks in sweatpants at home, but instead go back to the office, where of course strict corona rules apply* in order to keep the incidence of infection as low as possible. Not least against the background that the Omicron variant is spreading rapidly and almost every third employee is afraid of an Omicron infection at work. * kreiszeitung.de is an offer from IPPEN.MEDIA.
