Crown Princess Mette-Marit: Happy trip to icy realms

0

While spring is slowly arriving in this country, Crown Princess Mette-Marit and her husband Haakon enjoyed themselves in the snow in icy temperatures.

Longyearbyen – A few days ago, the Norwegian crown prince couple set off north for a visit to Spitsbergen with what was probably the thickest piece of clothing in their luggage.
Haakon (48) and Mette-Marit (48) experienced a very special highlight in freezing temperatures, as 24royal.de shows here.

Crown Princess Mette-Marit’s smile shows how happy she must be to finally be able to do her work for the Norwegian royal family again almost without restrictions. During the peak phase of the corona pandemic, she was hardly able to leave the home office due to her chronic lung disease. Extreme caution was her constant companion. With the easing, the 48-year-old is slowly returning to her usual everyday life.

Together with Crown Prince Haakon, Mette-Marit recently set out to travel to one of the northernmost inhabited areas in the world: Spitsbergen. After a reception in the Longyearbyen Public Library – an absolute highlight for literature fan Mette-Marit – the royals found out about the various voluntary services in the region, among other things. Later, a visit to an avalanche dam and a youth club was also on the agenda. On the following day, the crown prince couple went on to a truly exciting spectacle without a breather.
