From Italy we received Daymare: 1998 in 2020, a work that was intended to act as a spiritual ode to the most classic Resident Evil, specifically the second. A good reception of the title has now allowed the studio to announce the arrival of its prequel.
Invader Studios, along with publisher Leonardo Interactive, have revealed Daymare: 1994 Sandcastle , the new game inspired by the same universe coming to PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X / S, Xbox One and PC via Steam. Here you have the chilling advance that they have left us.
With a planned launch date of 2022, the work will put us in the shoes of special agent Dalila Reyes , who works for the HADES unit and who must enter the most advanced experimental research center in the United States.
Of course, the reception will not be the most pleasant. The undead and nightmare creatures will be waiting for us along with a plot that promises to reveal the past of some of the characters from the first installment. The interface will have a deep redesign and will allow us to manage our inventory in a simple way.
Thanks to a device on his arm, Reyes is able to analyze parts of the environment and reveal new puzzles to solve, discover secret documents and detect hidden items. The atmosphere will be really nostalgic reminiscent of those survival horror of the 90s, with levels of challenge to match the experience.
