Did Mars have an ocean?

0
Ancient Mars was a very different place than today, dry and arid. There is no doubt that the water ran across its surface . Thus, a flow of one billion cubic meters per second circulated through the Ares Vallis – 300,000 circulate through the Amazon. On the red planet it has not happened as on Earth, where liquid water has been present since its inception. There has been water there sporadically . Was there ever an ocean? It is not very clear, although its existence would explain a series of characteristics, such as the different ages of the channels or reliefs similar to those of a coast.
