Madness without limits, dismemberment without compassion and action through a tube. Doom Eternal is one of the best FPS we have had the pleasure of tasting and now a new reason is coming to lay the glove on the work of id Software.

Indeed, Bethesda has announced that the game will have a free update for PS5 and Xbox Series X / S that will arrive on June 29 . We can expect the typical of these cases, such as an increase in the frame rate or visible improvements for the resolution on the screen, in addition to the dear ray tracing. This is the full breakdown:

Xbox Series X

  • Performance mode: 1800p – 120 FPS
  • Balanced mode: 2160p – 60 FPS
  • Ray tracing mode: 1800p – 60 FPS

Xbox Series S

  • Performance mode: 1080p – 120 FPS
  • Balanced mode: 1440p – 60 FPS
  • Ray tracing mode: not available

PlayStation 5

  • Performance mode: 1584p – 120 FPS
  • Balanced mode: 2160p – 60 FPS
  • Ray tracing mode: 1800p – 60 FPS

PC

  • Ray tracing mode: availability and performance depend on the user’s PC hardware.

From the company they point out that all the modes have dynamic resolution and that the balanced and performance modes do not have the ray tracing function. This free update applies to both physical and digital copies, although you must bear in mind that if you have a physical unit, but a new generation console without a reader, you will not be able to apply the improvement.

For this patch we will only have to have the game installed or the disk inserted , so that all these functions can be automatically received online. Another interesting detail is that a transfer in this sense will not be possible between platforms. That is, if we have the game on PS4 we will not get the update for Series X / S.
