When it comes to thinking about one of the most beastly games of recent years, it is easy for DOOM Eternal to come to mind, because the id Software and Bethesda FPS is brutality outright with the shootings, dismemberment, its action without limits and much more that makes us constantly witness.
In order to make the game look better than ever, its creators announced at E3 2021 that they were working on a free update for PS5 and Xbox Series X / S that would be available starting today. Thus, fulfilling what was promised, you can now access its download on these consoles if you have a copy of PS4 and Xbox One, respectively.
In the trailer that you have above these lines you can get a better idea of how impressive the latest DOOM will now look, being able to choose between several different graphic modes :
PS5
- Balanced mode: 2160p and 60fps
- Performance mode: 1584p and 120 fps
- Ray-tracing mode: 1800p and 60 fps
Xbox Series S
- Balanced mode: 1440p and 60fps
- Performance mode: 1080p and 120 fps
Xbox Series X
- Balanced mode: 2160p and 60fps
- Performance mode: 1800p and 120 fps
- Ray-tracing mode: 1800p and 60 fps
To have access to this free update you need to have installed your copy of DOOM Eternal from PS4 on your PS5 or if you have the game on Xbox One do the same on Xbox Series X / S. As long as you have the consoles connected to the network, they will begin to download this patch so that you can enjoy a real carnage in all its splendor.
