On Monday, Deep Nadia will continue to cause stormy weather in Germany: the DWD is also warning in northern Hesse today.

Kassel – In northern Hesse, the weather* will be stormy on Monday (01/31/2022). The German Weather Service (DWD) has published level 2 storm warnings for several districts.

The DWD warns of possible dangers. “For example, individual branches can fall. Pay particular attention to falling objects,” said the DWD. Level 2 wind gust warnings have been issued for the following counties:

  • City of Kassel (valid from Monday, 8 a.m. – 8 p.m.)
  • District of Kassel (valid from Monday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.)
  • Schwalm-Eder-Kreis (valid from Monday, 6 a.m. – 10 p.m.)
  • Werra-Meißner district (valid from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.)
  • District of Waldeck-Frankenberg (valid from Monday, 8 a.m. – 9 p.m.)

Hurricane Nadia* is responsible for the stormy weather. As the DWD reports, the low in parts of Germany even causes wind speeds of up to 110 km/h. A few rain showers are also possible. In the region, too, the low Nadja has caused some fire brigade operations. Hamburg and Berlin were particularly badly hit. In the capital, the fire brigade has even declared a state of emergency.
