A group of German mechanical engineering students from the Karlsruhe University of Applied Sciences (HsKA) has developed
E-Quickie , an original
electric car with three wheels that gets its power from the road , without using cables. Its creators have built the experimental vehicle to test the
viability of wireless technology in transport .
E-Quickie is powered by electric bearings that obtain energy through electrical induction from tracks placed in the ground through which it circulates. The receivers of this energy are attached to the bottom of the car. In addition, the vehicle has small on-board batteries that you can use if you ever need to get out of the way of the electric tracks.
The E-Quickie design , which looks like a reclining bike with a capsule that the rider travels in, is constructed of carbon fiber and high-tech materials, and was tested and optimized by computer in a virtual wind tunnel. before its manufacture.
