There are still at least 10 days until its premiere in our borders and yet, the hype of the survival horror sequel starring Emily Blunt only increases with the first reviews of A Quiet Place 2. The long-awaited second installment that is delayed by the pandemic, then again anticipated with the corresponding delight of the staunch fans of the first film. The public has always maintained the saying and maxim that affirmed: “second parts were never good”. For its part, the filmography and the history of the seventh art contradicted the phrase with brilliant sequels such as Aliens, Terminator 2: Doomsday, The Godfather: Part 2 and The Dark Knight. From the first reviews of A Quiet Place 2, it is to be assumed that John Krasinski’s film will suffer the same fate.The Rotten Tomatoes page that collects the average of all the criticisms that are coming out about each of the films, gives it a 90% positive recommendations about the film. And it is that the media and specialized critics who have been lucky enough to see this advance highlight that it maintains the good rhythm of the silent first family survival. The Wrap points out the evolution of Krasinski as a director, praising his “confidence and ability” for the creation of “a sequel more fascinating than its predecessor”, while the Collider medium on the other hand remains more cautious with its analysis: “A sequel that expands the world and delves into the personal heart as a center. Those who doubt, like me, calm down ”. Forbes magazine highlights the making and production but it doesn’t seem to end the feeling that a spin-off franchise and other sequels are being prepared for it.Finally, Uproxx and The Hollywood Reporter attribute the quality to the visceral sensations that you have transmitted to them. A quiet place 2, The first medium mentions the stomach pain caused by the story and emphasizes that it could not have lasted “another 20 minutes because it is too much intense”. THR analyzed its narration and its dependence on the state of the viewer: “The intimacy of the narrative relentlessly pulls on our anxieties all the time.” A Quiet Place 2 will premiere in Spain on May 28, appearing on the big screen the new cast members, Djimon Hounsou and Cillian Murphy.
