Edeka blasphemes about the young generation in a job ad

An Edeka in North Rhine-Westphalia is looking for an employee who is “not completely lost”. According to the Edeka spokeswoman, the ad was intended as a “wink”.

In a job advertisement, the manager of an Edeka branch makes fun of the younger generation. “Can you imagine working five times a week without immediately suffering from burnout?” the ad reads. Edeka in Detmold in North Rhine-Westphalia is looking for an employee who “is not completely lost”. The person should be able to tell a “case of beer from a case of water” – and not spend too much time on WhatsApp. Edeka spokeswoman Kerstin Holla wrote to BuzzFeed News Germany that Mr. Gebhardt did not want to criticize or discriminate against anyone.
