People who want to say goodbye to the Queen have to wait a full 14 hours. The coffin remained in Westminster Hall until Monday morning.

London – In London, the line to Westminster Hall, where Queen Elizabeth II’s coffin is laid out, has grown even longer.

On Friday night, it stretched eight kilometers from Parliament over Lambeth Bridge and along the south bank of the Thames from the National Theater and Tate Modern to the Tower of London. The waiting time is now 14 hours, the BBC reported, citing government information.

A man in line interviewed by the station said the time had “fly by”. Everyone is focused on the moment when they can say goodbye to the Queen. The coffin is laid out until Monday morning, when the state funeral for the deceased monarch will take place. Expect the line to get longer this weekend. dpa
