Electrification encourages changing logos decades later

The logos of the automotive brands are very little variable, they hardly change over time. Many manufacturers had been using the same shields for decades, to which they had introduced slight modifications due to the use of new technologies in the creation section. The electrification of the park, however, has forced them to face this challenge with a complete evolution of its conceptualization, also in terms of its brand image. For five years, the firms have been presenting 100% zero emission vehicles and with them, on some occasions, logos were presented on completely blind and illuminated grills. In this gallery we will review the brands that have modified their corporate design in the last two years, since 2020. We mark the beginning of the 20s as the transition towards a new concept of mobility, also framed by different regulations for thermal propellants.

There have been many brands that have opted for a simpler and cleaner logo . Concern for the environment and climate urgency has also been transferred to cities, which want to be greener and easier to live for their citizens. That philosophy is what they try to capture on the front of their cars, also in dealerships and websites. What’s more, some of these firms have begun the transition of their next shield on the Internet portals before the vehicles themselves. This evolution is always an important moment for companies, accustomed to not changing their identity sign for fear of losing knowledge by less aware users.

Others, on the other hand, bet on marking a before and after. An example of this is Kia, the Korean firm that has transgressed the most with its image. BMW, on the other hand, will follow the lines that have been accompanying the Bavarian models for years. A continuity that occurs, mainly, in German firms such as Volkswagen and Opel, which is now part of Stellantis. As a general rule, the modifications that we see in this new decade are characterized by two-dimensionality, avoiding the chrome and artificial volumes that we did see in the 90’s . We tell you more in the following gallery, which will go in alphabetical order.
