Fertilizers and heavy metals threaten seahorses and seagrass beds in the Mar Menor and Mediterranean. How the valuable sea creatures are to be saved is explained in this article:

Cartagena – The pollution of the Mar Menor and the Mediterranean Sea is causing problems for the sea creatures. So that seagrass, seahorses and pen shells do not disappear from the seabed, they are bred in the Murcia region, as reported by costanachrichten.com.

Initially, the marine animals and plants will be bred in aquariums in Portmán Bay, in Cartagena, until the construction of a new research center in Águilas is completed. However, the scientists agree on one thing: the whole thing only makes sense if one condition is met: pollution of the oceans must be stopped.
